Research Department

The Heart and Vascular Institute has been conducting Clinical Research since 1996.

The mission of the Department of Research at The Heart and Vascular Institute of Florida-North is to provide our patients with new medical therapies that may be beneficial alternatives to current standards of care. The Research Department is dedicated to high quality and compassion with the patient at the center of our focus.

We conduct clinical trials in the areas of CHF, Hyperlipidemia, Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Post MI, Atrial Fibrillation, Pacemakers, HTN, ICD's and Bi-Ventricular Devices. All trials are overseen by our attending Cardiologists.

Research is conducted to help develop new drug therapies and medical devices. Clinical trials are also conducted to change an indication of an already approved FDA drug therapy.

There are no out of pocket expenses to participate in clinical research. No medical insurance is required.
